By the 1980’s, Donna L. Avery was a full fledged career woman and single mother, and also way ahead of her time. She started an internet company in 1986 called WOMEC, which focused on publicizing the businesses of “minority” women. She also authored a series of books called “The Risks Of Ro”. Unfortunately by the end of the decade, the corporate world of Textiles proved hostile and unstable and Donna was forced to become creative and rethink her life plan. Nevertheless, she persisted.
